Ever wondered, what would happen if were to lose your IE favourites. Imagine if you lost all your documentation, all your FAQs, all the research you did. Imagine not finding the forum page which once helped you solved a critical problem.
I always had these problems.. also, where to store all the info, all documents, all web links, configuration settings, etc...
Then a friend suggested this site.. www.pbwiki.com.
Its a wiki. but its a personal wiki, which you can have private or make it public to share with your friends, staff etc..
It definitely has helped me get a little organised and the information which was all scattered is not easily accessible, from any computer and all in one place.
I use it to add important bookmarks, categorize important sites/links (windows, linux, db, networking, etc etc), save important configuration details, server and machie details, important FAQs, troubleshooting info, to-do lists, etc
pbwiki is easily editable and it is easy to add pages, create hyperlinks, and crete TOC. you can also have a side bar with toc and quick links to the important pages.
definitly a great tool for me ..
